BADA DEMCRAFT WINS TRAINING COURSE OF THE YEAR AWARD
At the recent and inaugural Inside Hi-Fi and Home Cinema Trade Awards, the BADA Demcraft course was voted the winner in the Training Course of the Year category.
The judges were looking for a course that addresses a particular knowledge gap in the industry, is accessible and well presented and has achieved its objectives. Many organisations submitted training courses for consideration and it was deemed, through a voting process, that Demcraft fulfilled these criteria better than any of the other courses being considered.
Demcraft is designed to help the retail sector raise standards by teaching staff the importance of correct equipment setup and demonstration. To date over 50% of BADA dealers have sent staff on the course and many have noticed improvements in their sales figures as a result. Following a meeting held with BADA’s associate (manufacturer) members in September, it was agreed to rollout the training to ensure 100% of all customer facing staff in all BADA dealers are trained, as well as training the sales representatives of the associate members. This will ensure an agreed minimum standard is in place across the industry, from which to develop further training programmes.
Collecting the trophy at the awards ceremony held at Bill Wyman’s Sticky Fingers restaurant, Phil Hansen, operations and marketing manager said: “Demcraft was up against good quality training courses from many of the big names in the industry and so it is particularly pleasing that the judges recognised the work BADA and its associate members have put into making this course a success and raising standards in BADA dealers and the industry as a whole.”
