The most amazing thing about the new Xero is the price. All of this is achieved for a mere £670 per pair!

The Stylish Son Of Xen The diminutive Leema Xen virtually created the market for the no-compromise miniature loudspeaker.
Inherent in its design was that form would follow function, a trait of any genuinely no-compromise product. The Xen used a wooden baffle combined with a steel walled cabinet, strengthened with truss rods. This gave the optimum internal volume for the drive units in a cabinet with the smallest outside dimensions.
Now, as the market has developed, Leema have revisited the Xen design to produce a stunning new loudspeaker.
The Leema Xero is a development of the Xen with the home user in mind. Closely based on a Xen, the Xero has a slightly larger wood-based cabinet, which is available in five luxurious real wood veneers to enhance most decors. The mid / bass drive unit is based on that of the Xone, Leema’s highly successful miniature floor-standing loudspeaker, and gives a fuller bass output than the tiny Xen. The Xen’s ferrofluid-damped ‘Tymphany’ fabric tweeter is retained, providing the same degree of detail, spatial imagery and musical insight that the Xen first revealed. The crossover has been modified to accommodate the slightly larger cabinet and new bass driver; and a single rear mounted port provides superior bass reinforcement when placed near walls in real world listening and living rooms.
Essentially, the new Leema Xero combines the startling midrange transparency and improved bass output of the Xone with the musical insight and clarity of the highly acclaimed Xen, in a very attractive and room-friendly package. The most amazing thing about the new Xero is the price. All of this is achieved for a mere £670 per pair!

About Leema Acoustics…
The founders, both ex-BBC
engineers, have a fanatical interest in audio reproduction for both
professional and domestic environments. Since the early 1990s Mallory
Nicholls has been manufacturing the world’s leading 5.1 monitoring
electronics for recording studios and mastering houses under the
MAGTRAX brand; whilst the BAFTA and Palme d’Or award-winning Lee
Taylor, has many years experience in recording and mixing for the film,
television and music industries.
Leema Acoustics was founded in 1998 as a vehicle for Mallory and Lee to
push the boundaries of loudspeaker design in order to create a
miniature loudspeaker capable of outperforming a system many times its
size. The original research focused on new design principles and
mathematical models as software tools available at the time were simply
not good enough requiring Leema to write their own. The result,
released some four years later, was a micro monitor of unsurpassed
technical and musical excellence called Xen. Initially the Xen was only
available to the professional audio market but over time audiophiles
became increasingly aware of the quality of Leema products, which are
designed to be run all day, everyday.
With growing interest from Hi-Fi enthusiasts, audiophiles and audio
professionals, the Leema range is evolving in to a class-leading
portfolio.
