Two new phono stages from Russ...
Two brand new phono stages have been introduced by Russ Andrews to allow music lovers to re-discover their vinyl collections and realise the potential of their turntables.
Used in place of the amplifier’s built in phono stage, the Russ Andrews PH-1 phono stage provides significant performance benefits and out performs many of the stand-alone phono stages currently available.
Based on the Terry Bateman designed Rega Fono product, Russ has extensively upgraded the internal components with the very best quality components available and also made some modifications to the circuit. Power for the stage is provided by a new version of the already great performing Russ Andrews PowerPak. Two separate models are available, for turntables fitted with moving magnet or moving coil cartridges.
The result is a significant improvement in performance from both moving coil and moving magnet cartridges. Commenting on the performance of the two products, Russ Andrews, managing director said: “The sound from a turntable fitted with a moving magnet cartridge was so good it made us think these cartridges can give moving coils a run for their money. And our moving coil equipped turntables have never sounded so good – clean, three-dimensional, detailed, dynamic, fast and highly engaging. In a word musical!”
The two products come in a black extruded aluminium case, fitted with an oak fascia and measure 180mm wide, 50mm high and 145mm deep. A two year guarantee is included with each model.
