Saturday 12 January 2008 By Phil Hansen
Major expansion in training Installers, architects, specifiers and retailers will all benefit from the content of five new courses that have been developed to specifically address issues identified following consultation with the business’ customers. Commencing in March 2008, the company will be allocating one week per month to the training programme, to enable candidates to attend anything from one to all of the following five courses without the need to repeatedly travel to Cheltenham:
What Multi-Room Can Do For You
Provides an overview of the business, the products it distributes and demonstrates how The Multi-Room Company’s approach can open new business opportunities for its customers. Includes a comprehensive Russound product introduction.
Structured Wiring and Home Networking
Covering the essentials of installing a multi room system’s infrastructure and the necessity of understanding IP based protocols, this course serves as the first practical stage of the suite of courses.
Home Cinema
From a general introduction to advanced level calibration, all aspects of home cinema for the installer will be covered in this course.
Centralite Lighting Control
Concentrating on one of the Multi-Room Company’s primary product lines, the design, planning, installation and programming of the highly versatile Centralite range of products will be encompassed in the fourth of the courses.
Russound Advanced R-Net
The basis of a Russound multi-room system, RNET is a technology that enables the Smart components within a Russound system to talk to each other. This course provides installers with the skills necessary to design and configure systems, speedily and effectively.
Training will be undertaken by the individual product and category managers, including the company’s newly appointed and Microsoft Certified, Adam Brinton, who will be covering the structured wiring and IP control syllabi.
Doug Gale, managing director, said: “Training has to lie at the very heart of what we do. The reputation of our customers with their clients depends upon their ability to satisfy the client’s requirements, through a demonstrable and thorough knowledge of the products they are installing. Our recent move to larger premises and the expansion of our specialist personnel enables us to position ourselves as one of the premier providers of training within our industry. Our customers, their clients, our business and ultimately our industry can only benefit from our substantial investment in training.”
