The Perfect Loudspeaker?
The Vandersteen Audio Quatro may be just that, the perfect loudspeaker.
The Quatro combines a compact physical size of only 43” high, 10” wide and 19” deep, with a full range frequency response of 24Hz to 30KHz + or- 2db. All this with time and phase correction and a sensitivity of 87db.
The secret to this is, apart from the three-way forward facing monitor, with minimum baffle design, there are two internally mounted, 8 inch carbon loaded cellulose cone subwoofers, featuring long throw motor assemblies and a built-in 300 watt amplifier with multi-band room response equalisation. This has the unique advantage of being tuneable, not just to your room, but to your equipment as well and combined with the M5-HP high pass filter between your pre and power amplifier you are able to experience true High Fidelity.
